Vendor Enablement Program

You know the work. We'll write the bid.

Onyx writes the proposal narrative, scope of work, and supporting materials. You keep full control of pricing and you own the bid.

Best crew on the list. Worst bid package.

01Your number was competitive. The job went to a package that looked better on paper.
02The scope went out in a text message, or a one-line email with a total at the bottom.
03No qualifications page. No project approach. No schedule narrative. Nothing that says who you are.
04The GC and the facility manager judge the document, because before award it is all they can see.
What Onyx Writes

The package, start to finish.

Proposal narrative and executive summary

Written the way a GC or facility manager reads it, in your voice, not boilerplate.

Scope of work

Built from the plans, the specs, and what you tell us you are actually doing on site.

Supporting materials

Qualifications, project approach, schedule narrative, and exhibits, assembled into one package.

One round of revisions

You read it, mark it up, we clean it up before it goes out.

Your numbers stay yours.

The proposal is your bid. Nothing goes out without your approval, and Onyx never stands between you and your client.

  • We do not price the work.
  • We do not adjust or recommend your prices.
  • We do not submit the bid.
  • We do not sign anything.
  • We do not contact your client.
How It Works

Four steps. You never lose control of the bid.

01 / SEND

Send the bid docs

Plans, specs, the invitation to bid, and whatever notes you have. A phone photo of a markup is fine.

02 / DRAFT

Onyx drafts the proposal

Narrative, scope of work, and supporting materials, written from the documents and your input.

03 / APPROVE

You add pricing and approve

Every number is yours. Nothing leaves our hands until you have read it and said go.

04 / SUBMIT

You submit under your own name

Your letterhead, your branding, your bid. Onyx is not on the document.

Turnaround depends on the size of the package and how much time is left before the bid is due. We tell you what we can hit before we start, and we will say no rather than hand you something rushed.

Who this is for.

A good fit
  • Trade contractors bidding commercial work
  • Owner-operators with no estimator and no marketing staff
  • Subs bidding general contractors and facility managers
  • Crews that win on the work and lose on the paperwork
Not a fit
  • Anyone who wants Onyx to price the work
  • Anyone who wants Onyx to set the number
  • Anyone who wants Onyx to bid on their behalf
  • Takeoffs and estimating, which are separate scope

Start a proposal.

Send us what you're bidding and we'll come back with scope and a flat fee. Quoted up front, before any work starts.

Questions we get

Who sets the price?

The vendor. Always.

Do you bid against me or contact my client?

No. Onyx does not contact your client, and Onyx will not write for another vendor bidding the same project.

Do you take a percentage of the contract?

No. Flat fee per proposal, quoted up front. No cut of the award.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of the proposal. Send us what you are bidding and we will quote it before any work starts.

Do you do takeoffs or estimating?

Not under this program. That is separate scope.

Can I use it under my own name and branding?

Yes. It is your proposal.

You do the work.

We make it read like it.
